BOW- Donna (Carter) Zacker, 77, of Bow and formerly of Manchester died June 15, 2008 at the Hospice House in Concord after a brave and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in No. Conway, NH on April 7, 1931 the daughter of Donald and Ruth ( Gates) Carter.
She was predeceased by her husband Karl C. Zacker Sr., former Boy Scout Ranger at Camp Carpenter, Londonderry, NH..
She was active in Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts where she was the “Camp Mom” to many generations of Boy Scouts. She was employed in retail for many years.
While residing at White Rock Senior Living Community she ran the Book Club and also served on the Activities Committee. She made many friends there that assisted tremendously during her illness.
She was a New England sports lover who loved nothing more than watching the Boston Red Sox win two World Series and rooting for the Celtics. She also enjoyed politics, watching Hardball and such programs.
She was a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother.
Family members include her daughter Karla and son-in-law Robert Boisvert of Hooksett, two sons John Zacker and his wife Terry of Crofton, Maryland and Karl C. Zacker Jr. of Bloomington, Indiana. Her grandchildren Melissa Rollins and her husband Timothy of Hooksett, Amanda Bayko of Hooksett, Camden, Kendall and Braden Zacker of Crofton, Maryland, Garrett and Olivia Zacker of Bloomington, Indiana, and a greatgrandson Nicholas Rollins of Hooksett, NH.
SERVICES:Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM with prayer service at 6:30 PM during calling hours at the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.., Manchester.
