Ludowici- Elise D. Young, age 66, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick after a short illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Long County. She retired from the Long County School system where she worked as a cook in the cafeteria. She was a Baptist by faith.
She is survived by three daughters: Judy Gordon and Joyce Puckett both of Ludowici, and Janice Cline of McDonough, Georgia; one son: James C. Young of Fernandina Beach Florida; one sister: Louise Mullen of Savannah; one brother: Bill Davis of Ludowici; seven grandchildren, twelve great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 13, 2008 at 2:00 p. m. from the James R. Gordon Memorial Chapel of Howard~Jones~Nobles Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Stillwell officiating. Interment will follow in Davis Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p. m. at the funeral home.
Active Pallbearers will be James English, Elton Poppell, Troy Davis, Larry Walter,
Gerald Walter and Bob Coble.
