Obituary

Leo Albert Desotell Jr. of Plymouth, passed away on June 8th at the Golden Living Center at the age of 84. Beloved husband of the late Marilyn (Pier), he is survived by his loving daughters Susan Browne of Mashpee and Vero Beach, FL; Carol Lee of Hingham, Pamela Verrocchi of Monson Lee McCulloch of N. Grafton, and Michael Desotell of AZ. He also leaves his grandchildren Kristin Forest, Andrew Bartlett, Monica Lee, James Bartlett, Joseph Bartlett, Chelsea Lee, Katherine Bartlett, Cody and Michael Elliott and his two great grandchildren Emma and Abigail Forest.. Mr. Desotell graduated from high school in Springfield and worked for the U.S Postal Service for 30 years. He was the postmaster in Amherst and W. Springfield and belonged to the Postmasters Branch Management Training. Leo also served in the U.S Marine Corp as a heavy antiaircraft gun crewman serving during WWII for 4 years. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday June 12th at St. Bonaventure’s Church in Plymouth at 10 AM followed by burial at the Mass. National Cemetery in Bourne. Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd. (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) on Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 311 Arsenal St, Watertown, MA 02472.
