Ruth (Demb) Kirshon, 93, a resident of Malden for the past 30 years & formerly of Chelsea, entered into rest on June 7, 2008 at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Abraham Kirshon.
Born in Chelsea, Mrs. Kirshon attended the Chelsea Public Schools & graduated from Chelsea High School in 1931. She went on to study & graduate from business school, however she chose to dedicate her life to being a beloved & devoted wife, mother, & grandmother. She was active in the community & enjoyed membership in the Sisterhood of Temple Emmanuel in Chelsea & Hadassah.
Mrs. Kirshon is survived by her sons, Howard M. Kirshon & his wife Mary Lou of FL & Barry Kirshon, owner of Kirshon's Paint in Chelsea, of Saugus. She was the loving friend of Lisa Kirshon of Peabody. Mrs. Kirshon is also survived by her grandchildren, Kimberly & Melanie Kirshon; her sister Augusta Bernice Rosenthal of Chelsea; niece Marlene & husband Gene, & niece Sandra Rosenthal.
Funeral service in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq) CHELSEA on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 1:00 PM. Interment in Everett. Memorial observance will be held at her late residence in Malden through Wednesday evening.
