Myrle B. (Manuel) Adams, 87, of Whitman, Wednesday June 4th in the Tufts Medical Center, following heart surgery. She was the wife of the late Robert M Adams. She was born in South Ashburnham, a daughter of the late Frank and Florence (Bryant) Manuel. She was raised in Whitman , a graduate of the Whitman High School Class of 1938.She was a life long resident of Whitman and a faithful member of the United Methodist Church in Whitman. Myrle lived and cared intensely for her family and worked for several years as clerk at Cavicchi ’s corner market She was a frequent attendee of the Whitman Senior Center lunch program
She is survived by her daughter Roberta B. Wilbur and her husband Howard of East Bridgewater, her son Paul C. Adams of Yarmouth; her grandchildren Robert Wilbur of Oakland, CA., Brian Wilbur of Jacksonville, Fl., Wendy Wilbur of Newton, Amy McLeod of Weymouth and Daniel Adams of Abington and her great grandchildren, Jacob, Mikaela, Courtney, Nicholas, Emma and Claire, her brother Rev Donald Rock of Leheigh Acres, Fl. She also leaves her close friend Murray Meisner of Whitman and former daughter-in-law Janice Adams of Abington.
Her services will be held Monday June 9th at 10:00 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Mayflower Cemetery, Duxbury, MA.
