Obituary

Leon A. Turcotte 78, of Blanche Ave. Cumberland, died Tuesday at home. He was a son of the late Thomas and Lucie (Pearson) Turcotte. Mr. Turcotte worked for Jed Delta in Woonsocket for many years, he also worked for the Days Inn in Melbourne, FL before retiring. Mr. Turcotte served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a devout catholic and an avid bingo player.

He is survived by three sisters Rita Geruso of Cumberland, Delia Skiba of NV, and Alma Desrosiers of Woonsocket and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Rosario, Lionel, Charles and Alphonse Turcotte, Louise Bousquet and Leona Dagesse.

His funeral will be held Friday at 9:30 am. from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Thursday 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Cancer Society, N. E. Division, 30 Spleen St. Framingham, MA 01701 in his memory would be appreciated.
