Obituary

Robert C. Kalell, 51, of Dedham, Massachusetts, formerly of West Roxbury, died on June 2, 2008. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Debbie Holmes. He is survived by his wonderful parents, Charles and Emily Kalell and two brothers, John, and his wife, Kathleen of Dedham, and Charles, and his wife, Joanne of Quincy. Robert was a loving uncle to Caryn Kalell, Michael Kalell, John Kalell, Colin Kalell, and Meg Kalell. Robert was also a son to his father-in-law, Thomas Holmes of Newton. They had a deep and loving friendship. He was a devoted brother-in-law to Tom Holmes and Cathi Holmes. Robert also had a special place in his heart for his Tulip.
Robert’s love and devotion to his wife, Debbie, is profound and everlasting. He will always be remembered as a compassionate and loving son, and adoring brother. Robert cherished his many wonderful friendships. There was no truer friend. Robert’s spirit touched so many lives. This is the legacy of a truly remarkable man.
Robert was a proud graduate of Boston Latin High School has been employed by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue since his graduation from the University of Massachusetts. His most recent position was the Director of the Audit Division.
Robert was an avid sports fan, looking forward to the Celtics championship series. He loved watching the Red Sox play at his beloved Fenway. Robert loved to get on the links whenever possible and also loved the ocean. He enjoyed spending long days on the beach at the Cape and on Nantucket.
Robert was such a blessing in the lives of his wife, family and friends. His short time here was well spent. He left so much to this world.

Funeral from the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY on Friday June 6, at 9:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in The Holy Name Church at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment Mt. Benedict Cemetery West Roxbury.
