Muriel R. Tancrelle, 88, formerly of Edgewater Drive, Blackstone, MA, died Sunday, June 1, 2008 at the Hebert’s Nursing Home. She was the widow of Normand L. Tancrelle.
Born in Blackstone, MA, she was a daughter of the late Denis and Lucia (Lambert) Gelinas.
She had been a resident of Smithfield for the last 2 ½ years having previously lived in Blackstone, MA. her entire life.
She was an artist who specialized in oil miniatures and slate carvings.
She is survived by her children; Denise G. Campbell and her husband James of Blackstone, MA, Marc N. Tancrelle and his wife, Susan of Bethel, ME and Paul Tancrelle and his wife, Kathy of Smithfield, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was the sister of the late Beatrice Finlay, Cecile Cardinal, Elva , Gertrude, Juliette, Daniel, Theodore, Aram, Hubert, and Edgar Gelinas.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:30am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. A Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Smithfield. Visitation Wednesday 9-10:30am. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906.
