Obituary

LOWELL, MA – Albert R. Perkins, 75, of Lowell, died Friday May 30, 2008 at Fairhaven Healthcare Center in Lowell.

He was the loving husband of Theresa J. (Aham) Perkins. He was born in Lowell on November 25, 1932 and was a son of the late Albert C. and Mabel (Shaughnessy) Perkins.

Mr. Perkins served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He also worked as a cook at the VA Hospital in Bedford, MA for 30 years until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman, Patriots fan, and enjoyed playing and listening to music.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Perkins is survived by a daughter Amy Latessa and her husband Stephen of Lowell; two sons Robert LaFlamme of Topsham, VT and Michael LaFlamme of Amherst, NH; two sisters Marjorie Kennedy of Lowell and Barbara Reynolds of Destin, FL; and a granddaughter Danielle LaFlamme.

At the request of the family, all services are private. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent in his name to the American Cancer Society, Centralized Memorial Processing Center, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
