OXFORD: Joan M. (O'Rourke) Kent,76, of 9 Themeli Court, No. Oxford, died Friday, May 30 in Overlook Masonic Home in Charlton. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by her loving family. She devoted her life to her husband and children.
She leaves her husband of 56 years Leslie R. Kent, five sons Robert A. Kent and his wife Delores of San Angelo, Tx., Steven L. Kent and his wife Patricia of Oneonta, N.Y., David L.Kent and his wife Susan of Keene, N.H., William F. Kent and his wife Karen of Charlton, and Richard L. Kent of Middle Grove, N.Y., four daughters Judith A. Durso and her husband Eugene and Janet M. Sestokas and her husband Frank all of Leicester, Mary Ellen Cerbone and her husband Anthony of Manorville, N.Y., and Jennifer Kent and her husband Brian Walters of Brooklyn, N.Y., two sisters Eileen Hayes of Tucson, Az., and Alice Nobel of Newport Richie, Fl., 11 grand children and 4 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Born in New York, she was the daughter of William F. and Emily (Peterson) O'Rourke and lived in E.Islip, N.Y. before moving here in 2005. She was a member of St. Pius X Church in Leicester.
The funeral will be held on Monday, June 2 from the MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial will be on Tuesday, June 3 at 12p.m. in Queen of All Saints Cemetery, Central Islip, N.Y.
