Obituary

WEBSTER - Samuel H. Jodoin, 68, of 17 Spring Street, died Thursday evening, May 29, at his son’s home in Oxford surrounded by his loving family. His wife of 43 years, Judith A. (Gancy) Jodoin, died in 2006.

He leaves 2 sons, David G. Jodoin of Webster and Matthew R. Jodoin and his wife Laurie of Oxford; 3 grandchildren, Andrew and Leah Ianniccheri and Ashley Jodoin; a brother, Robert Jodoin of Dalton Springs, AZ; a sister, Betty Hollows of Webster; nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother Roger Jodoin of Powers Lake, WI, in 2003.

He was born in Webster on May 31, 1939, a son of Leo “Sam” and Marjorie (Flood) Jodoin, and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Bartlett Trade High School.

He served in the United States Army as a military policeman in the 1960’s.

Mr. Jodoin was a master tool maker at Reed and Prince Company in Worcester. He retired in 2001.

He was a member of the Woodstock Senior League Golf Team. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.

The funeral will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, June 9, in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street. Burial, with military honors, will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. Calling hours are from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, June 8, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations in his name be made to the VNA Care Network & Hospice, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
