TEWKSBURY - William Nolan, 64, a well known member of a large well known family, diedTuesday morning, Mar. 4, at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell after a 10 year battle withcancer. He was the husband of Marie R. (Sullivan) Nolan, with whom he had celebrated a 45thwedding anniversary this past June 30th.
He was born February 11, 1939, in Pepperell, the son of the late Mary Howard. He was raised inLowell, as the son of the late Albert and Marjorie (Neville) Nolan. He graduated from LowellHigh School.
He was retired from Sonoco paper company, where he worked for more than 37 years as a truckdriver. He was a member of the AFL-CIO Teamsters Local 49.
He was a communicant of St. William’s Church, and enjoyed golf, gardening, and will be fondlyremembered for having devoted his life to his family.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, William G. and his wife Cherrie(Willis) Nolan of CA, Kevin M. and his wife Diane (Muise) Nolan of Westford; a daughter andson-in-law, Cheryl A. and her husband Michael Fabiano of FL; two sisters and brothers-in-law,Isabelle and her husband Kenneth MacShane of Lowell, Lillian and her husband Eugene Horton ofFL; a brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and his wife Virginia Nolan of Lowell; eightgrandchildren, April, William, Christopher, Danielle, Michael, Daniel, Catherine, and Alexandra,one great granddaughter, Daisy; a lifelong friend, James Farley of Tewksbury, and 14 brothersand sisters-in-law and their spouses, Frank and Theresa Sullivan, Charlie and Mary Sullivan,Theresa Sullivan, David and Linda Sullivan, James and Kathy Sullivan all of Tewksbury, Patrick Sullivan of Andover, Catherine and Earl Doak of FL, Jean and William Lamarre , Patricia and Edward Duffett, Caroland Victor Chartier, Janet and Richard Martin all of NH, Eleanor Edge, and Rita and MichaelHassett all of Chelmsford, the late Daniel Sullivan and Richard Sullivan.
His Funeral Mass was held Friday,Mar. 7., in St. William’s Church. ,, 1351 Main St. (Rte 38) Tewksbury. Interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery.
