Gloria M. Massi

...Burlington’s Pewter Pot restaurant; 77

TEWKSBURY - Gloria M. (Costa) Massi, 77, well known in the Burlington area for her longservice in the restaurant business, died Monday evening, Mar. 3, at the Woodbrier Nursing CareCenter in Wilmington after a lengthy battle with cancer.

She was born in Somerville, Nov. 16, 1925, a daughter of Frank and Mary (Amaral) Costa. Shewas raised in Somerville, but lived in Burlington from 1966 to 2000. She had resided atTewksbury’s Eagle Landing community since 2000.

In her earlier years, she worked as a waitress at the Pewter Pot restaurant in Burlington for morethan 18 years. Later, she was employed by Mobil Solar Energy Company in Billerica.

She will be fondly remembered for having devoted her life to raising her family.

She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy and her husband Stephen Foley of Tewksbury, one son,Louis and his wife Ann (Atwood) Massi of Falmouth, two brothers, John Costa of Tewksburyand Edward and his wife Marie (D’Arrigo) Costa of Randolph, five grandchildren, David Massi,USMC, Christopher Massi, Julia Massi, Nicole Foley and Jennifer Foley.

Her Funeral Mass was held Friday, Mar. 7, in St. William’s Church. Interment was in Tewksbury Cemetery.
