Marcolina P. Almeida, age 91, of Fall River for 41 years. Passed away May 27, 2008. Wife of the late Manuel F. Almeida. Born in Calhetas, Sao Miguel, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel Dias Pereira & Virginia (do Rego) Calisto. Prior to retiring, she was a Machine Operator for the former Ross-Mathews Corp. She was a parishioner of Espirito Santo Church.
She is survived by 4 children: Lidia A Silva of Somerset, Onesimo T. Almeida of Providence, RI, Joseph U. Almeida of Somerset, & Suzette M. Almeida of Fall River. 2 sisters: Maria Conceicao Silva of Somerset & Carmina P. Carvalho of Fall River. 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, & several nieces & nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Fall River, Saturday at 8:45 A.M. Followed by a funeral mass in Espirito Santo Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 4-8 P.M. In lieu flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 or to a food bank of your choosing.
