Jesup- Mr. Kenneth “Kenny” Jones, age 68, passed away Friday, May 23, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah. He was a graduate of Odum High and a retired District Supervisor for Lance, Inc. He was a member of Faith Chapel and taught the Adult Sunday School class.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Mrs. Ellen Leavern Starling Jones; two sons: Kenneth N. Jones, Jr. and his wife Milinda Jones of Savannah and Steven M. Jones and his wife Pamela D. Jones of Odum; four grandchildren: Lindsay Diane Jones, Casey Daniel Jones, Michael Hunter Jones, Brandon Lee Jones; three brothers: Charles Jones of Guyton, Donald Jones and Herschel Jones both of Jacksonville FL.; two sisters Velva James of Jesup and Christine Lewis of Baxley.
Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth “Kenny’ Jones will be held Monday, May 26, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. from the James R. Gordon Memorial Chapel of Howard-Jones- Nobles Funeral Home with Reverend James Carter officiating.
Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Gary Pierce, Buddy Starling, Robert Lynn, Mark Reddish, Richard Surrency, and John Starling.
Honorary Pallbearers well be the Adult Sunday School Class of Faith Chapel and the staffs of Dr. Wojnowich, Dr.Chisner and Dr. Capelo.
