Vadala, Charles J. – age 81, of Jamaica Plain died peacefully at home on May 23, 2008. Charley is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Vera (Pistone) Vadala. He was the loving father of 7 children: the late Joseph A.Vadala, Janet V. Angeles and her husband Arthur of Duxbury, Anne Vadala-Roth and her husband Timothy of Westborough, Ellen Vadala-Poles and her husband Francesco of Dorchester, Lynne Vadala Doran and her husband James of West Roxbury, Clare Vadala-Clark and her husband Paul of West Roxbury, and Charles J. Vadala, Jr. and his wife Mary of Roslindale. Also the proud grandfather of 19 devoted grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Mary Alizio and predeceased by brothers Leonard and Andrew, and sisters Josephine Messina and Andrea Cuzzi. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Charley received his Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University and worked for Honeywell as an electrical engineer for 30 years. Talented musician who also enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and bird watching.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in The Sacred Heart Church Roslindale at 11:30 AM. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday, May 28, 2008 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Interment Forest Hills Cemetery.
