Roland H. Normandin, 65 of Burnside Ave died Sunday in Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Helene (Brodeur) Normandin. Mr. Normandin was born in Woonsocket a son of Roland L. Normandin of Woonsocket and the late Rose A. (Parquette) Normandin. Mr. Normandin was a maintenance mechanic for American Cord and Webbing retiring in 1998. He had also worked for Tinsel Town and Drapers Corporation.
Besides his wife and father, he is survived by two sons Richard R. Normandin of Canterbury, NH, and Ronald R. Normandin of Harrisville, a daughter Rachel R. Normandin of Guilford, ME, a brother Robert Normandin of Woonsocket, a sister Jeannette Gomes of Lincoln and three grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday at 10:00 am. in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to IN-SIGHT Programs in Productive Living for the Blind, 43 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 1, Warwick, RI 02888-6400, would be appreciated.
