WORCESTER- Charles Mainelis 81 of 6 Commonwealth Ave died Februray 24th in Saint Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center. His daughter Donna S Kruczek age 50 of Alomogordo New Mexico died February 23 rd in her home.
Mr. Maineliswas the husband of Bernice A (Sidabra) Meinelis who died in 1997 following 47 years of marriage. He leaves brothers and sisters in Lithuania, Eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.Mr. Mainelis was born in Rokiskis lithuania a son of Kajetonis and Veronika Mainelis and moved to Worcester in 1949. He was educated at Vilnius University in Lithuania.
He worked for thirty four years as a Wire Drawer at Johnson Steel & Wire Company.
A longtime member f Saint Casimir's Catholic Parish, he was also a Social Member of The Lithuanian Charitable Society.
Their double funeral will be held on Tuesday from The Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home 298 Grafton Street (www.worcesterfuneral.com) Worcester with a Mass at 10am in Saint Casimir's Church 41 Providence Street Worcester. Burial of Mr. Mainelis will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery Worcester. Burial of Mrs Kruczek will be in Worcester County memorial Park, Paxton.Calling hours at the funeral home will be from 5 to 8pm Monday March 3.Flowers may be sent or donations may be made to The Restoration Fund of Saint Casimir's Church 41 Providence Street Worcester Mass. 01604
