Betsy Ann Oviatt, age 80, of Village Lane, Groton, passed away early Tuesday morning at The Groton Regency Retirement Center.
She was the daughter of William and Ella (Garde) Oviatt.
Prior to her retirement in the mid 1980’s, she was employed as a welder at Electric Boat for over 18 years.
Among her survivors, she was especially very proud of her 4 great grandchildren.
She was an active member of the Poquonnock Bridge Baptist Church where she was also a member of the Ladies Circle.
She was also a member of the Groton Senior Center and had volunteered at local food kitchens. She loved cats and babies.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at The Poquonnock Bridge Baptist Church on Saturday, May 24th at 11am. Private burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. There are no visiting hours.
