Obituary

Bridgewater-Mildred (Lipp) Hatch, a 50-year resident of Bridgewater, died at St. Joseph's Manor Nursing Home in Brockton, May 16, 2008. She was 98.

Born in Dedham, a daughter of the late Louis M. and Edith (McCasslin) Lipp, she was raised and educated in Dedham.

She was a homemaker. She was an active member of the Central Square Congregational Church in Bridgewater, where she was a member of the Women's Guild and Fellowship.

She was a board member of the Bridgewater VNA and the Bridgewater Cooperative Bank. She was also a member of the Bridgewater Garden Club.

She enjoyed puttering around her house and reading.

She was the wife of the late Stanley Hatch; mother of Sally McIntyre of Niantic, Conn., and the late Dale Hatch; grandmother of Bonnie Banker of Salem, Conn., and Scott McIntyre of Stonington, Conn.; sister of the late Louis, Stanley and Edward Lipp and Edith Jeanette Newell. Also survived by three great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday in the Central Square Congregational Church, Bridgewater, at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
