Elizabeth (Farinato) Teves, a 56-year resident of Somerville, passed away on May 18th at the Harborside Health Care Center in Wakefield. Born, raised and educated in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Humberto and Mary (DiBiase) Farinato. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph S. Teves, with whom she moved to Somerville in 1952 to raise their family. Elizabeth was employed as a Sales Clerk for 15 years at the Jordan Marsh in Somerville. She was the loving mother of Joanne Sidney of Anchorage, Alaska, Lorraine Lantz of Beverly, Joseph A. Teves of Wellesley, Mary Perlofsky of Somerville and the late Walter Teves, and the dear sister of the late John, Ralph, Joseph, Ray, Louis and Gus Farinato. She leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was also a caring foster mother to many children through Catholic Charities. Her Funeral will be held from the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Thurs. May 22 at 9AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, Winchester at 10AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wed. from 4-8. Interment will take place in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
