Jeannette M. (Blais) Lavoie, 75, of New Bedford died March 1, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of George B. Lavoie and daughter of the late Alexis and Mary Louise (Peroux) Blais.
Mrs. Lavoie was born in New Bedford and lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church.
Mrs. Lavoie was formerly employed by Kresgees and W.T. Grant before retiring from Building 19.
She enjoyed bingo, reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband; 2 sons, George J. Lavoie of New Bedford and Donald A. Lavoie of Fairhaven; a daughter, Diane L. Butler of Dartmouth; a brother, Arthur Blais of New Bedford; 9 grandchildren, George G. Lavoie, Priscilla Lavoie, Jason Lavoie, Joseph Lavoie, Melissa Lavoie, Talon Lavoie, Lorian Lavoie, Jennifer Butler and Erin Butler; 3 great-grandchildren, Lakira Furgason, Ayani Lavoie and Ariana Lavoie.
She was the sister of the late Theresa Blais, Lionel Blais, Ernest Blais, Estelle Sylvia, Gerard Blais, Edward Blais, Paul Blais and Rita Blais.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Tuesday, March 4th at 8 AM.Funeral Mass at St. Lawrence Church at 9 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Monday, March 3rd from 4-8 PM.
Interment Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
