Obituary

DUDLEY - Anthony J. Krol, 81, of 3 West St., died Sunday, May 18, at home. His wife of 35 years, Mary E. (Gabor) Krol, died in 1985.

He leaves two sons, Donald A. Krol and Kenneth J. Krol and his wife Tina, all of Dudley; a brother, Ernest Kroll of Uxbridge; a sister, Florence Burnham of North Carolina; 2 grandchildren, Kenneth A. Krol of Dudley and Kimberley A. Krol of Pennsylvania; his longtime companion, Susan Redfield of Dudley; nephews and nieces.

He was born and raised in Grafton, a son of Anthony and Mary (Such) Krol. He attended Worcester Boys Trade School. He moved to Dudley at the time of his marriage in 1950.

He served in the merchant Marine in World War II and in the Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Krol was a laborer and foreman in construction for different companies in the area before retiring in 1985.

He was a member of the Polish National Alliance in Dudley. He was an avid fisherman.

The funeral will be held Thursday, May 22, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster, with a Mass at 9:30 AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Calling hours are from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 21, in the funeral home. Instead of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to the Webster-Dudley Boys and Girls Club, 55 Oxford Avenue, Dudley, MA 01571.
