Harold B. Kierstead passed away on May 16, 2008. He was 90 years old.
Born and raised in Malden, Harold worked for the Malden Public Schools as a custodian for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Peters Parish Council, V.F.W. Post 639, D.A.V. of Malden, Italian American Citizen Club, Malden Disabilities Commission and the Malden Elks.
Harold was the devoted husband of Elizabeth (Campea) Kierstead, his wife of 62 years. He was the beloved father of Marjorie Godding and her husband Paul of Malden and Mary L. Kierstead and her husband Michael Weiss of Malden. He was the dear brother of Dorothy McNeil, William Kierstead, Louise Gallo and the late Fred and George Kierstead, Lee Casta and Florence Stoddard. Harold was the cherished grandfather of Michael Godding and his wife Diane and Gregory Weiss Kierstead and the great-grandfather of Mikayla and Tyler Godding. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Tuesday, May 20th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main Street, Malden at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Monday, May 19th from 4-7 p.m. Interment Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
