Beatrice (Sala) Iandoli, of Boston’s North End, died Friday at the North End Community Nursing Home. She was 91.
Born and raised in the North End, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and the late Nicolina (Germoglia) Sala. Beatrice worked most of her life. She was a candy maker at Schraffts and Duran’s Chocolate, a seamstress with Merritt Sportswear and was a sales clerk at the Christmas Dove in Fanueil Hall. A North End resident for most of her life, Beatrice also lived in North Reading and North Andover. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Iandoli. She was a devoted mother to Patricia Toscano of Lynn, Barbara Luisi and her husband Anthony of Stoneham. She was a loving grandmother to Patricia, Denise, Ted, Anthony, Christine and Deborah. She was a loving great-grandmother to Nicole, Marco, Nico, Samantha, Hunter, Anthony and Sophia. She was the dear sister of Lena Sala of the North End, the late Albert and Andrea Sala.
Beatrice’s funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Stephen Church, Hanover St., Boston’s North End, Tuesday, May 20, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Services will conclude with burial at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
