Obituary

Thomas E. Nicholson, 81 of Bellingham died May 16 in the Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI.
Born in Fairfax, Vermont, April 23, 1927, the son of the late Hugh and Florence (Grand) Nicholson, Mr. Nicholson had lived in Bellingham for most of his life.
Mr. Nicholson had been the owner of T.E. Nicholson and Sons Construction Company in Bellingham for many years.
Mr. Nicholson served on the Bellingham Board of Selectmen and had also been a member of the Bellingham Board of Health.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He served in the Navy during the Korean War.
He is survived by his son, Thomas B. Nicholson of Rehoboth, his daughters, Andrea E. Hayes of Centerville, Cynthia J. DeLuca of Franklin, Kathleen A. Nicholson-Doudaghians of Woodland Hills, CA, Susan M. Nicholson of S. Yarmouth, Sally J. Ravenelle of Goffstown, NH, Lisa E. Nicholson of Bellingham and Nicole G. Nicholson of Cumberland, RI. He was the father of the late Timothy E. Nicholson.
He is also survived by his brother, John Nicholson of Woonsocket, 26 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, May 22 from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St., Medway at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Brendan’s Church in North Bellingham at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
