East Bridgewater- John W. Terrio, of East Bridgewater, died Wednesday at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital after being electrocuted while working in Brockton. He was 43.
Born in Quincy, a son of John W. and Mary Louise (Publicover) Terrio of East Bridgewater, he was raised in East Bridgewater and graduated from East Bridgewater High School, where he played goalie on the soccer team.
He worked as a painter and was a past member of Ironworker Union Local 7 in Boston.
He enjoyed music, playing the guitar and singing.
In addition to his parents, he was the brother of Sheli A. Gomes of East Bridgewater and the late David F. Terrio; grandson of Mary L. Publicover of Braintree; uncle of Michael, Ryan, Abby and Matthew. Also survived by several aunts, uncles and many friends.
Funeral from the Wales-Prophett Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater, Tuesday at 8:15 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in St. John's Church, East Bridgewater, at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Central Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday from 4-8 p.m.
