Mafalda A. “Tillie” Tarzia, 91 of Medford, died Sunday after a long illness in the Courtyard Nursing Care Center, Medford, MA.
Born in Somerville, she lived in Medford and formerly of Somerville. Mafalda was the daughter of the late Ann (Lepore) and Gaetano Tarzia. Beloved wife of 65 years to William Tarzia. Devoted mother Domenic Tarzia of Pembroke, William A. Tarzia of Northboro, and Gale Fanciullo of Medford. Also survived by 6 loving grandchildren and 3 loving great grandchildren. Sister of Anne Dennis of Arlington, and the late Marion Reppucci, Theresa DiGiacomo, Emma Bonanno, Ada Riccobene, Lydia Pasqual, Alma MacDonald, Anthony, Mario, and Americo Mattola. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 7 - 9 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
