WORCESTER- Miguelina Velez Rousseau 68 of 240 Belmont Street died February 24th in UMass-Memorial Hospital, Memorial Campus following an illness.
She is survived by her husband of twelve years, Ernest P Rousseau. Two sons Alberto Alvarez of Florida, Raymond Davilla of Worcester. Four daughters Evelyn Alvarez of Manati Puerto Rico, Judith Alvarez of Worcester, Elena Alvarez of Manati Puerto Rico and Inez Davilla of California. Several brothers and sisters, twenty six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was born in Ciales Puerto Rico a daughter of Ramon and Maria (Berrios) Velez and moved to Worcester twenty years ago. She was educated in Puerto Rico.
A longtime member of Saint Paul's Cathedral Parish. Mrs. Velez Rousseau also enjoyed Bingo.
The funeral will be held Saturday March 1st from The Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home (www.worcesterfuneral.com) 298 Grafton Street Worcester with a Mass at 10am in Saint Paul's Cathedral 15 Chatham Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home are from 6 to 9pm Friday February 28th.
