WORCESTER-Janice M. Kokernak, 63, of Worcester, died Friday, May 9 in Holden Nursing Home. She leaves her brother Gerald J. Kokernak and his wife Ann M. of Sterling; two sisters, Ellen M. Zelesky and her husband John J. of Worcester and Ann M. Cleary and her husband Joseph P. of West Boylston. She also leaves her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews whom she loved spending time with.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Edward F. and Helen E. (Forhan) Kokernak. Janice worked at Seven Hills Foundation and she enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles and watching the Boston Red Sox.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, May 12 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St., West Boylston. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation –Massachusetts, 540 Gallivan Blvd., 2nd Floor, Boston, MA 02124-5463.
