Obituary

WORCESTER - Joseph Kozielewicz, 85, of Worcester, died Saturday, May 3, in Saint Vincent Hospital.

He leaves his wife of 56 years, Pearl Zofia (Mlodak) Kozielewicz; two sons, Henry T. Kozielewicz and his wife Kathleen M. of Webster, and Edward J. Kozielewicz and his wife Marilyn of Anson, Maine; and three grandchildren, Christine Drelinger and her husband Mark of North Oxford, and Joseph C. and Andrew J. Kozielewicz, both of Webster.

He was born in Hrobieszow, Poland, on January 1, 1923, the only son of Teodor and Maria (Czuryi) Kozielewicz. He attended trade school there. During the latter part of World War II, he became a civilian truck driver for the United States Army for about 5 years. He moved to Dudley in 1949 and then to Worcester in 1955.

Mr. Kozielewicz owned and operated J & S Painting for several years before retiring.

He was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica in Webster. He enjoyed fishing, ice skating, wood carving, working in his machine shop and growing his annual garden. He liked spending summer days at Horseneck Beach and at Webster Lake.

Funeral services were private. Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, directed the arrangements.
