Obituary

Crystal Ann Oltmann was born on December 19, 1982 at Fayette Memorial Hospital in La Grange. She was the daughter of Kirby Gene Oltmann and Mary Jane (Krause) Oltmann of Warrenton. She was baptized on March 20, 1983 in St. John Lutheran Church in Warrenton. Her sponsors were Sandra Beettner, Charlie Beettner, Cynthia Holub Krause and Peggy Beard. Crystal was confirmed on May 11, 1997 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top by Pastor Arnon Lundborg. Crystal graduated from Round Top-Carmine High School in May 2001. She attended Blinn Junior College and was currently enrolled at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville.

Crystal was involved in many activities such as 4-H, Girl Scouts and sports. She had a great passion for cooking and preparing many wonderful meals for her family and friends. Crystal took great pride in the homemade cakes and pies she made for local fundraiser events. She enjoyed spending time with her cousin Tierra Beard, family and friends.

Crystal Ann Oltmann is survived by her father, Kirby Gene Oltmann; brother, Dwayne Brett Oltmann; Aunt Peggy Beard; Aunt Sandra Beettner and her husband, Charles Beettner Sr.; Uncle David Krause; and Aunt Cynthia Krause; cousins, Rhonda Kuehn and her husband, Doug Kuehn; Brittany Beard; Charles Beettner Jr. and his wife, Jamie Beettner; Steven Beettner and his wife, Patsy; Aimee Krause and Keith Krause; Tierra Beard, Kaitlyn Kuehn, Kristen Kuehn, Therren Beettner, Kaitlin Bettner, Nelson Beettner, Jackson Beettner, Carson Beettner; Curtis Oltmann, Jr. and his wife, Mary Jane Oltmann; a Great Aunt, Verda Krause and a whole community of great friends also survive.

Crystal was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jane Oltmann in April 2007; grandparents, Mary Belle and Nelson Krause and Dorothy Mae and Kirby William Oltmann; great-grandparents, Hugo and Meta (Oma) Von Minden and Uncle Ralph Beard.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. from the Fayette Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. from the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top with Reverend John David Nedbalek officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Round Top Family Library or the American Cancer Association, 4401 Lilac Lane, Victoria, Texas 77901, or the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top, or the Round Top Warrenton Fire Department.
