Natale J. “Natty” Ferrera, 88 of Medford, died Monday after a brief illness in the Sawtelle Hospice House, Reading, MA.
Born in Boston, he lived in Medford since 1955 and was the son of the late Giovanna (Biancuzzo) and Giovanni Ferrera. He was a Presser for 46 years at the former G and T Clothing and retired in 1984. Natale was a member of the AFL-Cio Local 173. Beloved husband of the late Grace (Statuto) and Alice (Giunta) Ferrera. Devoted father of Joanne Frate of Woburn, Patricia Ferrera-Vellante of Revere, John Ferrera and his wife Susan, and Deborah Ferrera all of Haverhill. Loving grandfather of Alicia Grecco, Anthony Frate, Louis Frate, Joanna Sleeper, Alexandra Vellante, and Carrie Ferrera. Also survived by seven great grandchildren. Brother of the late John Biancuzzo, Frances Mercurio, and Mario Ferrera. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
