Philip Vidic, 86, of Malden, passed away on May 3rd, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Melrose. He was born in Zagreb, Yugoslavia on August 22nd, 1921 where he was raised until emigrating to the United States as a young adult. Philip has been a resident of Malden for the past 35 years. He retired from the A.W. Perry Company of Boston where he was an elevator operator and also held a second job as a maintenance man. He was employed at the company for over 30 years. He is survived by his children, Katherine R. Lofgren and her husband Gary of Taunton, Philip P. Vidic and his wife Kristine of Methuen, John H. Vidic and his wife Michele of Malden, Steven R. Vidic and his wife Karen of Malden, Yvonne M. Perry and her husband Robert of Fall River and Thomas Obed of Fall River; his grandchildren Scott, Gina, Tommy Jr., Jamie, Danielle, Katie, CJ, Anthony, Alexandra and Katelyn; his great grandchildren Cameron and Giannah; and by his brother Anton Vidic of Malden. Philip was predeceased by his wife Maria P. (Obed) Vidic and by his grandson Robbie. Relatives & friends are invited to attend funeral services from the A.J. Breslin & Son Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden at Medford line on Wednesday May 7th at 8:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday May 6th from 4-8 PM.
