Irving W. Oakley, 69, of Fairhaven, formerly of Boston, died Tuesday April 29, 2008 at Our Lady's Haven.
Born in Mashpee, the son of the late Ellsworth Raymond and Edella (Azevedo) Oakley, he lived in Boston for many years before recently moving to Fairhaven.
Irving was formerly employed as a substance abuse counselor at the Boston Detoxification Center for 25 years.
Survivors include a sister, Christine N. Oakley of New Bedford; two brothers, his twin, John Hiawatha Oakley of Bradford, and Ellsworth R. Oakley, Jr., of Nova Scotia; and many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 1 PM at the Old Indian Cemetery in Mashpee.
