Lionel S. Andrade, age 84 of Swansea for over 50 years. Passed away May 1, 2008 in Somerset where he resided with his son. Widower of Hazel R. (Viveiros Rego) Andrade. Born in Fall River, son of the late John & Mary Andrade. He was a member of St. Michael Church now St. Francis of Assisi, the Swansea American Legion, the Swansea VFW & he was associated with the Swansea Little League for over 20 years. He was a retired Swansea School Bus Driver & was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II & recipient of the Purple Heart.
He is survived by 2 sons: Michael Andrade of Cape Coral, FL & Kenneth Andrade & his wife Pamela of Somerset; 3 grandchildren: Bonnie Lee (Andrade) Mont Leon, Kenny & David Andrade; l great grandson: Kenny Andrade III & several nieces & nephews. He was brother of the late Virgil & Ernest Andrade.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Saturday at 7:30 A.M. followed by a funeral mass in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Swansea at 9:00A.M. Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea. THERE ARE NO ADDITIONAL CALLING HOURS.
