Alvaro “Alva” Viveiros, age 98 of Swansea for 52 years. Husband of Idenna (Correa) Viveiros. Passed away in Fall River April 29, 2008. Born in Fall River, son of the late Alexandre and Maria (Cabral) Viveiros. Before retiring in 1972, Mr. Viveiros was the owner/operator of a Chourico Mfg. Co. in Swansea. He was a member of St. John of God Church
Besides his wife, he is survived by: 1 Son Michael J. Viveiros and his wife Joyce of Swansea. 4 Grandchildren: Robert, Dennis, & Lisa Viveiros and Kimberly Oliveira. 6 great grandchildren. Several nieces & nephews. He was Grandfather of the late Michael Viveiros Jr. & brother of the late Mary B. Souza & Guilhermina Borges.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Friday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a funeral mass in St. John of God Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 5:00-8:00 P.M.
