WORCESTER - Mrs. Anna M. (Scola) Ozioli passed away peacefully March 10, 2008 surrounded by her loving children.
She is survived by two daughters, Rosemarie Ozioli of Shrewsbury, Michele L. Ozioli of Worcester, two sons, USAF (Ret) Lt. Col. Daniel L. Ozioli and his wife Sherry of Annandale, VA, John F. Ozioli of Worcester; three sisters, her twin sister, Mary A. Conti of No. Grafton, Virginia M. Palazzi and Dolores Simulevich both of Shrewsbury; two brothers, Albert J. Scola and his wife Jane of Worcester, Dr. Daniel A. Scola and his wife Theresa of Connecticut; four grandchildren, Noelle, Anne Marie, Catherine and Nicholas; a great granddaughter, Ava Rose; and many nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her sister, Rose T. Pezzella and a brother, Ralph Scola.
Anna was born November 6, 1921 in Worcester, Massachusetts a daughter of the late Nunziato and Angelina(Morello) Scola.
A lifelong resident, Anna grew up on Grafton Hill, and was a graduate of Commerce High School. She worked for many years in the family business with her father and brother, Albert at Scola’s Market on Suffolk St., Worcester.
She worked as a teacher’s aide and also for the City of Worcester in the City Clerk’s office for many years up until her retirement.
Anna was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church and the Beato Angelo Dacri Calabria Club of Worcester. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and most of all being with her family.
Anna’s children would like to extend their deepest appreciation for the care and love provided to their mother by the first floor staff at University Commons.
Her funeral will be held Friday March 14th from FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St. Worcester with a Mass at Our Lady of Loreto Church Worcester at 10am. Interment to follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are on Thursday from 4 to 8pm. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St. Watertown, Ma. 02474 or to the University Commons Activities Fund, 390 Plantation St. Worcester, Ma. 01604.
