LOWELL—Helen O’Sullivan, 88 years old, died Friday evening, February 21st, at the Sunny Acres Nursing Home, in Chelmsford.
She was born in Lowell, on July 6, 1914, a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Cassidy) O’Sullivan. She was a graduate of the Immaculate Conception Grammar School, Lowell High School and Lowell State Teacher’s College.
Miss O’Sullivan served the City of Lowell for over 40 years as a Librarian at the Pollard Memorial Library. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Surviving her are her nieces and nephews: Jim and Laurel Rivard, of Lowell; Mary Rivard, of Lowell; Lanie and Damon Demas, of Telluride, CO; Peggy and Wally Biedron, of Dracut; Pat and Greg Gardner, of Salem, NH; Marti and Hal Garvey, of Natick; and Cindy O’Sullivan, of Wilbraham; twelve grandnieces and grandnephews: Jim, Kerry, Erin and Marc Rivard; Katie, Mary and Wally Biedron; Tom Gardner; Brian and Elizabeth Garvey; and Xanthe and Sam Demas.
She was the sister of the late John, William, Mary O’Sullivan, and Margaret A. Rivard.
Friends may call from 4 until 7 PM on Tuesday, Feburary 25th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street. (Rte. 38). Her Funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday, February 26th, at 10:30 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, Lowell. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
