Obituary

Lawrence, MA - John ( Chic) N. Foley, 79 of Lawrence died Saturday morning April 26, 2008 at the Hannah Duston Nursing Home in Haverhill.

Mr. Foley was born in Lawrence, Ma in August 31st, 1928. He was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Stakem) Foley. Educated in Lawrence schools and a life long resident of Lawrence . John served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He was the City of Lawrence Plumbing inspector for over 20 years before his retirement. Mr. Foley was a life long member of Local Union# 12 Plumbers and Gas Fitters of Boston. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Methuen, a parishnor of St. Augustines Church and he also enjoyed Ballroom dancing.

He is survived by his son Neil J. Foley and his wife Judith, two daughters Mary Jo Hanlon and her husband John and Ellen F. Baggett and her husband Patrick all of Atkinson, NH. Five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Agnes (McCarthy) Foley.

Arrangements: His funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 26, 2008 at 9:30 AM in Our Lady Of Good Counsel Parish ( St. Augustines Chapel) in Lawrence. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lawrence. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the K.H. Pollard Funeral Home Inc. 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen.
