LOWELL- Julia P. (Marynowski) Michalczyk, 90, a longtime resident of Lowell, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend, died Saturday April 26th at Town and Country Nursing Home in Lowell after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late William J. Michalczyk who died in 1967.
She was born in Dracut on December 25, 1917, and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Marynowski. She received her education in Lowell schools and attended Lowell High School.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Michalczyk worked in several area mills in the Lowell and Lawrence area.
For Julia gardening was always a pleasure. She enjoyed traveling to auctions, antique shopping, and collecting whatever caught her eye. She also enjoyed her trips "up north" with her family and friends, especially Wanda and Ralph.
She's remembered for her love of people and all that she met loved her.
She was a longtime resident of Pawtucketville and was a communicant of St. Rita Church.
She is survived by three sons Richard Michalczyk and his wife Cathy of Hudson, NH, Guy Michalczyk and his wife Susan of Lowell, and Robert Michalczyk and his wife Betsy of Townsend; two daughters Judy Adamowski and her husband Kevin, and Janet Spalthoff, all of Nashua, NH; thirteen grandchildren Robert Michalczyk and his wife Lillian of Lowell, Richard Michalczyk of Lowell, William Monfet of Litchfield, NH, Lori Boucher of Nashua, NH, Christian Spalthoff of Nashua, NH, Kevin Adamowski and his wife Cheryl of Milford, NH, Cheryl Brody of Litchfield, NH, Jason Michalczyk and his wife Shannon of Lowell, Jessica Nelson and her husband Eric of Atkinson, NH, Bobby Michalczyk and his wife Nicole of Ashburnham, Timothy Michalczyk of Milford, NH, and Jennifer Michalczyk of Townsend; fifteen great grandchildren; a sister Jennie Jezak of Lowell; a brother-in-law Walter Michalczyk of Dracut; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Joseph Marynowski, Matthew Marynowski, and Helen Wilson.
Julia's family wishes to thank the staff of Town and Country Nursing Home, especially hospice for the warmth, compassion, and care that they gave her.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Monday from 4 until 8 PM. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday at 8 AM followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9 AM at St. Rita Church in Lowell.
