FARMER, Catherine Elizabeth, (nee Freehily) age 88 of River Edge died at home on Sunday April 27, 2008. She was a parishioner of St. Peter the Apostle Church and is predeceased by her loving husband and soulmate James (1989), her cherished brother Thomas Freehily (1979) and cherished son-in-law Martin Cusick (2003). Catherine is survived by seven devoted children; daughters Terry and husband Finian Murphy of River Edge, Nancy and husband Bill McCormick of Warwick, NY, Ellen Farmer of River Edge, Kathleen Cusick of Wrightsville Beach, NC, sons Stephen of Hackensack, Edward and wife Ruth of Osprey, Florida and James of Davie, Florida. She leaves grandchildren Trish Kinney, Kathleen Lewis, Jim and Joe Farmer, Chris and Dan Cusick, Nicole Nonnemaker, Stephanie and Samantha Farmer, Bill, Kate and Kelly McCormick, Claire and Jane Murphy and twelve great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in- law Margaret Freehily of Pompton Plains. Catherine devoted her life to her “ Jim”, her loving husband of 47 years, her family and God. She had a deep faith and particular devotion to St. Martin de Porres, who answered many of her prayers. She enjoyed entertaining, travel and was blessed with many special life-long friends. She will be deeply missed and long remembered for her strength, kindness and beauty. A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 A.M. on Wednesday April, 30th at St. Peter the Apostle Church, River Edge.
