Obituary

TEWKSBURY: Richard Trull, of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, died April 24, 2008. He was 82 years old.
Born in Lowell on March 5, 1926, son of the late J. Chester and Rena May (Baldwin) Trull. He attended the public schools in Tewksbury, graduating from High School with the class of 1943.
He is survived by his wife, Marguerette June (Farrington) Trull, with whom they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on June 18, 2007, two sons, Carl T. and his wife Teri of Chester, NH and David S. of Treasure Island, FL, three daughters, Candace Marlow and her husband James of Port St. Lucie, FL, June Ford and her husband Brian of Westford, MA, Pamela Marlow and her husband Steven of Leominster, MA and 16 grandchildren, Matthew, Jacob, Adam, Hannah Trull, TJ, and Scott Abbott and his wife Tiffani, Melissa Kelley and her husband David, Garrett Ford and his wife Tara, Justin, James, Jenna, and John Ford, Rebecca and Emily McLennan, Eric and Christopher Trull. A daughter, Kathleen S. Trull, pre-deceased him.
He leaves a sister, Phyllis Marion King of Tewksbury. A sister, Velma (Olofsson) Chambers and a brother, J. Arthur Trull had pre-deceased him.
Richard worked as a Mechanical and Electrical Draftsman for five years and later owned and operated Trull’s Flower Studio in Tewksbury and Valentine Flowers of Andover for about thirty years until his retirement in the spring of 1987. He was an International Floral Designer, having designed at a Floral Design Show in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Mr. Trull was a member and Past Master of Wamesit Lodge, A.F. & A.M. in Tewksbury; he also served the Grand Lodge of Masons in Massachusetts as District Deputy Grand Master for the Lowell 12th Masonic District and was a Past Grand Pursuivant of that Grand Lodge.
For distinguished service, he was recipient of the Joseph Warren Medal from the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts, The Grand Cross of Color from the Order of Rainbow for Girls and the Legion of Honor from the Order of DeMolay for boys.
He was a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley of Lowell as well as Massachusetts Consistory in Boston. He served as Sovereign Prince of Lowell Council, Princess of Jerusalem for three years, 1974-1977 and was Secretary for the Valley of Lowell Scottish Rite Bodies from 1977 through 1988.
Richard was knighted a 33rd degree Mason in Pittsburgh, PA in 1977 and served as Grand Seneschal for that Supreme Council, 1983 through 1988. He served Massachusetts Council of Deliberation as Hospitaler from 1984 until 1992.
He was a member of the North Tewksbury Baptist Church and was Historian of that church from 1994 to 1998.
Calling hours Monday, April 28th, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. (Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m.) at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral service Tuesday, April 29th, 10 a.m., at the First Baptist Church, 1500 Andover St., Rte. 133, Tewksbury. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery.
