WEST BOYLSTON-Lester F. Atchue, 87, passed away Tuesday, April 22.
He leaves his loving wife of 65 years, Stella (Klojzy) Atchue; his son, Edmund Atchue and his companion, Becky Carolan of West Boylston and her children, Matt, Nick and Maggie; his daughter, Sandra and her husband, Chet Leosz of Holden; three grandchildren, Mark Atchue and his wife Robin of Syracuse, NY, Scott Atchue and his companion, Nadine Stowell of West Boylston and Jennifer and her husband Rob Marriott of Boulder, CO; four great grandchildren, Anna and Amanda Atchue and Charlotte and Conor Marriott, nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Francis and Ralph Atchue and his grandson, Matthew predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester the son of Fred and Hazel (Brigham) Atchue and was a sixth generation descendant of Ezra Beaman. Mr. Atchue was owner and operator of Atchue Brothers with his brother, Francis until 1964. He then owned and operated Lester’s Refrigeration until 1967. After living in Maine for 37 years, he returned to West Boylston in 2005. He was a member of the Boylston Lodge of Masons and was a life member of the Nimrod League of Holden.
The Funeral Service will be Friday, April 25 at 1:00 PM at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 W. Boylston St. Interment will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. There are no visiting hours.
