Boylston – Andronia (Paluk) Nicholas, 88, of 40 Poe Ave died Friday, February 21 in the Odd Fellows Nursing Home, Worcester after an illness.
Her husband Peter C. Nicholas died in 1985. She leaves two sons Thomas R. Nicholas of Boylston and Louis R. Nicholas of Sterling; a stepbrother Theodore Paluk of Leicester; a stepsister Anna Dimitri of Philadelphia; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son Christy S. Nicholas of Boylston who died in 1996. She was born in Korce, Albania daughter of Terpin and Thomaidha Paluk.
Mrs. Nicholas was a member of St. Mary Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, Worcester and the Daughters of St. Mary’s. She worked for 20 years at RJ Toomey Co. in Worcester as a presser, retiring in 1986.
The funeral will be held on Monday, February 24 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond St. Worcester, with a service at 11 AM in St. Mary's Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church 535 Salisbury St., Worcester. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 PM on Sunday, February 23 in the funeral home. Trisagion Service will be held at 7PM during the calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions maybe made to St. Mary Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
