Bessie A.”Betty” (Lambert) Ieronimo, 85, of Halifax, died Monday in the St, Joseph Manor Nursing Home in Brockton. She was the wife of Joseph A. Ieronimo.
Bessie was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, brought up in Boston; she was the daughter of the late James A. and Margaret (Clark) Lambert. She was a Hanson resident for 20 years and has been in Halifax for the past 12 years. Betty worked in the circulation department at the Brockton Enterprise for 10 years as well as many different jobs, but mostly a caring mother and housewife.
In addition to her husband, Joe , she is survived by her son Dennis Ieronimo of Somerville her daughters, Donna Swanson and her husband Keith of Halifax, Lisa McIver of Marshfield and Dina Ieronimo of East Bridgewater ;also 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Thomas, George and Ronald Lambert, Margaret and Lillian Rideout
Her services will be held on Friday April 25th at 8:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (RT 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00 AM in the Our Lady the Lake Church, Halifax , burial will be in the Central Cemetery , Halifax. Visitation will be held Thursday April 24th 4:00-8:00 PM. Donation may be made in her name to the St. Joseph Manor, 215 Thatcher St., Brockton, MA. 02301.
