Obituary

Bernard C. Alsheimer of Kingston, formerly of Plymouth and Brockton, died on April 20th at home at the age of 87. Mr. Alsheimer had worked at the Cordage Company in Plymouth, the Foundry in Kingston, he was also a fireman at Miramar taking care of the boiler system and then worked in the maintenance department at Massasoit Community College. Bernard served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion Post 40 and enjoyed clamming. Bernard is survived by his beloved wife Frances T. (Wirzburger) of Kingston and his loving children Charlie, Peter, Frederick and Janice Sheeley all of Plymouth. He also leaves his sisters Emma Hasham of Plymouth, Agnes Nelson of RI and June Euscher of Plymouth, 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and one on the way and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Alberta Pelletier. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday April 24th at St. Mary’s Church in Plymouth at 10 AM followed by burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Plymouth. Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt. 3A), N. Plymouth on Wednesday April 23rd from 4 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Miramar Retreat House, 121 Parks, Duxbury, MA 02331.
