Louise M. (McGonagle) Kenneally, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died on Friday April 18, 2008 at Sancta Maria Nursing Center in Cambridge following an extended illness. She was 87 years old.
Louise was born in Charlestown, where she attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1938. During her lifetime, Louise worked as a secretary for Commercial Union Insurance Company in Boston for several years. She was a member of The Old Charlestown Schoolgirls Association and was active with the Charlestown Senior Citizens Group.
Louise is the beloved wife of the late Walter A. Kenneally. She is the devoted mother of Paul R. Kenneally and his wife Sheila of Marshfield, Mary Roche and her husband Joseph of Charlestown and Steven Kenneally and his wife Maureen of Medford. She is the loving grandmother of Lindsey, Joseph, Ryan, Allyson, Bridget, Brianna, Connor, Sean and great-grandmother of Brianne. She is the beloved sister of Mary Underwood of Medfield and the late Catherine Dunn, Gertrude Donovan and Virginia Stimpson.
Louise's Funeral will be held on Tuesday April 22, 2008 at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours for Louise will be on Monday April 21, 2008 from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
