Maureen F. (Sheilds) Eldredge of Haverhill, formerly of Andover and beloved wife of the late Herbert E. Eldredge, died at the Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill on Sunday, April 13, 2008. She was 71 years old.
Born in Melrose, Massachusetts, on December 14, 1936, she was a beloved daughter of the late John J. and Alyce M. (Collins) Shields. Mrs. Eldredge was the proprietor of The Yarn Loft in Lawrence for many years.
She will be sorely missed by two daughters and one son-in-law; Catherine Eldredge of Haverhill and Sandra and her husband, Michael Soucy of Salisbury, two grandchildren; Aaron and Amanda Soucy, one sister; Joy and her husband, Paul Reiss of Plymouth, New Hampshire, one brother; Mark A. Sheilds of Waverly, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Maureen was also the sister of the late John J. Sheilds.
