VEGA, Maria I- Of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Chelsea, unexpectedly, April 12th. Devoted daughter of Catalino Barnecett-Vega and his wife Betsy of Chelsea and the late Anna C. (Cruz) Vega. Beloved mother of Nirzy Lamboy of Orlando, Florida, Johnny Lamboy, Samuel Lamboy and Bianca Vega all of Methuen. Loving sister of Jerry Vega of Peabody, Linda Vega of Methuen, Marilyn Vega, Evelyn Vega and Delvis Vega all of Chelsea. She is also lovingly survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly to attend visiting hours in the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Saturday, April 19th from 4-7 PM. Funeral and Burial Services are private.

Born in Boston and a resident here in Chelsea until moving to Orlando two and a half years ago, Maria, at 40 years of age, passed away unexpectedly at the Orlando Regional Medical Center shortly after being admitted for and aneurysm. A registered nurse, while in the local area she worked for Harborside Healthcare in Wakefield and for the last 2 years, while in Florida was associated with Nurse-on-Call.
